The Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH) seeks a
Senior Program Specialist. This position is domiciled in Jefferson City
. This is a Senior Program Specialist position responsible for the management and quality assurance of programs and processes of Recovery Support Services. The position performs the activities of a high-level professional including oversight, project management and policy recommendations.
Salary up to $63,979 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
This position requires overnight stays as necessary.
- Coordinates services with Recovery Support Providers
- Provides oversight of Consumer Operated Service Programs, Recovery Community Centers, Recovery Housing, and Peer Respite
- Creates, revises and interprets community behavioral health provider policies and procedures in conjunction with the Division staff
- Provides oversight and contract monitoring
- Writes and evaluates Invitations for Bid
- Provides trainings and technical assistance
- Liaisons with coalitions, partners, and other stakeholders
- Monitors funding
- Develops, reviews, and revises Code of State Regulations
- Assists with data collection and evaluating quality outcomes
Eligibility:A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field or 3-5 years of progressive professional experience.
Required Skills:The ideal candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of recovery services and possess strong writing and communication skills. Sound judgement and strong independent decision-making skills are needed to be successful in this role.
