MO HealthNet Division has an opening for a
Program Specialist within the
Clinical Program and Policy Unit located in
Cole County. Semi-monthly salary: $2,322.31
Job Location: This position is located at the
Howerton State Office Building; 615 Howerton Court, Jefferson City, MO.
The
Department of Social Services partners with families and communities to protect children, rehabilitate youth and move families to self-sufficiency so that Missourians can lead safe, healthy and productive lives.
Why you’ll love this position: The person in this position will work with a dedicated team of employees while gaining new and valuable skills. This is a responsible and independent position that will act as the liaison among several units within MO HealthNet.
- Serve as liaison among MO HealthNet units to communicate all changes or updates discussed and implemented in the Clinical Program Policy unit.
- Collect updates from various units, create an agenda, schedule, and lead relevant meetings to communicate updates.
- Oversee the Telehealth, Ambulance, Ground Emergency Medical Transport (GEMT), and Therapy programs.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of existing Medicaid policy, federal and state rules, regulations, and system information.
- Create and amend policy for the programs you oversee.
- Research and resolve provider issues such as claim approvals and denials.
- Serve as back-up to MO HealthNet’s Transplant Coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Preferred Qualifications: - Strong public speaking skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas, plans, procedures, and programs.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant experience with policy and interpretation.
