Pay: $41,523.36
Examples of Work: - Coordinate a team directly responsible for preparation of a large production meal.
- Supervise safe use, sanitization and care of cooking and food storage equipment/devices, reporting issues as needed.
- Carry out supervision duties such as schedules, direction, performance reviews, and regular conversations about professional development.
- Coordinate meal planning with dietary managers.
- Supervise adjustments of production quantities and check for proper preparation and presentation of meals according to medical restrictions.
- Prepare meals and perform a variety of skilled cooking assignments.
- Lift, carry, and transfer heavy food products.
Qualifications: Must demonstrate the following which may be obtained through work experience in dietary field or through completion of an associate’s degree in a related program:
- 4 years of food service experience.
- Experience supervising and instructing employees and/or helpers in food preparation, planning, and coordination of menus.
- Experience in a long-term care facility is desirable.
- Must be free of diseases that may be transmitted in the performance of job responsibilities per state and local requirements during the stage of communicability.
