The Town of Truckee is currently looking for two Administrative Technicians to join our team, one to support the Engineering Division and another to support the Keep Truckee Green Division. Administrative Technicians are essential in keeping operations organized, accurate, and responsive to the needs of the public and the teams that they work with. In these essential roles, you will support division staff by preparing documents, coordinating meetings and public notices, assisting with contracts, website updates, maintaining records, and other various tasks as needed and deemed appropriate by the division.
The Engineering Administrative Technician focuses on administrative support for the Division, including, but not limited to: consultant and contractor contract coordination, review, and execution assistance; Engineering website updates and project bid postings; consultant invoicing; project closeout assistance; purchasing assistance; grant administration assistance; meeting coordination and scheduling assistance; and administration of weekly team meetings. The Engineering Division is responsible for a variety of projects and programs for the Town. The Sustainability Administrative Technician will support the Keep Truckee Green Division, which oversees the Town’s trash and recycling collection programs and sustainability initiatives. This position will be focused on maintaining an online database of recycling and food scraps collection services, supporting recordkeeping requirements, providing grant administration assistance, processing rebate applications, and responding to phone and email inquiries about the Town’s trash and recycling services and sustainability programs. This position will also provide hands-on support to Truckee businesses for recycling, food waste collection, and other waste reduction efforts. Interest or experience with recycling and compost programs or other sustainability initiatives is preferred but not required.
