The senior executive assistant performs secretarial and administrative assistant duties for members of the director's office, chief counsel, or secretary to commission. Responsibilities are performed under general supervision.
What you'll do:- Maintains an appointment calendar, schedules meetings, reserves meeting rooms and gathers materials for meetings. Receives new legal summons from Commission Secretary, logs and provides to Chief Counsel for assignment.
- Drafts and formats complex forms, letters, reports, and other materials, usually requiring familiarity with specialized terminology. Proofreads completed work to check for grammar, spelling, and formatting. Types Commission backup minutes, talking points and agendas.
- Provides litigation support to legal team by compiling complex information, organizing and preparing files for legal review.
- Assists in the drafting of legal pleadings, gathering discovery, and other legal and non-legal documents. Prepares exhibits.
- Gathers supporting documents relating to witness testimony. Provides summaries of legal transcripts.
Minimum Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED/HiSET
- Six years of experience in progressively responsible office assistant and/or executive assistant positions. Prior experience in the legal field preferred.
