*Subject to Change DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Administrative Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team that provides administrative and operational support to executive leadership while ensuring effective coordination of solid waste service requests. This position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient workflow, promoting customer service excellence, and fostering a high-performance team environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled in both staff supervision and operational coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise, train, and evaluate administrative support staff serving the executive team and operational divisions.
• Ensure timely and accurate coordination of incoming solid waste service calls, including routing, documentation, and follow-up.
• Manage office workflows, maintain scheduling for executive staff, and coordinate departmental communications.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures to streamline administrative processes and service request handling.
• Monitor staff performance, assign daily responsibilities, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Maintain databases and reporting tools related to service calls, staffing, and administrative performance metrics.
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve issues related to service requests or administrative functions.
• Support budget preparation by compiling relevant data and tracking administrative expenditures.
• Uphold departmental standards for professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service.
Working Conditions This position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
This is a Solid Waste Management position at the Tier III Level.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Political Science, Psychology or a closely related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Three years of experience in personnel, administration, accounting or a closely related field are required.
Directly related professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

PREFERENCES**Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1- 6.* * Preference will be given to applicants that have prior experience in the following :
• Strong leadership and team management skills .
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced envieonment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and famili arity with service management software.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and problem-resolution techniques.
