    This position will be located at Lewis and Clark Office Building, 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City, Missouri .

    OPTIONAL : The Missouri Hydrology Information Center is an exciting project in Missouri Department of Natural Resources deploying soil monitoring equipment, streamgages, developing a flood and drought dashboard, conducting alluvial aquifer studies, and contributing to a broader community of practice in these fields.

    • Helping with operations and planning within the Missouri Hydrology Information Center (MoHIC)
    • Help plan and coordinate field work for MoHIC projects
    • Coordinate with stakeholders and partners to accomplish project goals
    • Assist with streamgage installations and stream surveys
    • Assist with soil monitoring equipment installations and soil sample collections


    This position is required to obtain and maintain driver’s license .

    To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:

    • Adaptability: Adjusts planned work by gathering relevant information and applying critical thinking to address multiple demands and competing priorities in a changing environment.
    • Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving: Uses a logical, systematic, sequential approach to address problems or opportunities or manage a situation by drawing on one’s knowledge and experience base and calling on other references and resources as necessary.
    • Physical Strength and Agility: Ability to bend, lift, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time; ability to perform moderately heavy laboring work.


    Equivalent to those typically gained by:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary
    • College education and/or field work experience are preferred. A degree in an environmental science based or adjacent field is preferred.


    (Additional education or experience may substitute for the required education or experience)
