Our nurses work Monday through Thursday 4/10, day shifts, with weekends and holidays off! The
Department of Public Health (DPH) is recruiting for
Registered Nurses (RN)* who provide direct patient care with the
I nnovative Remote Onsite Assistance Delivery program ( InnROADs) . InnROADs team members provide Rapid Response and Street-Medicine services to the County’s unhoused residents. This includes outreach and engagement, treatment and linkages to support services.
Employees assigned to the InnROADs program must be willing to work outdoors and have a desire to work with our unhoused residents as a partner with multiple service agencies. The resulting eligible will only be used to fill vacancies in the InnROADs Program. Registered Nurses perform duties that include assisting physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical/nursing staff by performing a variety of activities such as taking patient histories; providing patient follow up; performing screening tests; drawing blood; administering prescribed treatment and medication; auditing services of licensed and unlicensed personnel; assessing the need for and providing immunization injections; and instructing, educating, and counseling patients on a variety of health care and medical topics.

- Valid Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate (Course Completion Card) issued by the American Heart Association.
Experience: In addition to the
licensure/certification requirements listed above, applicants
must possess
six (6) months of full-time equivalent experience performing duties as a licensed RN.
Desired QualificationsApplicants fluent in American Sign Language, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish and/or Vietnamese are strongly encouraged to apply. Additional compensation is associated with positions requiring the use of bilingual skills. Testing of bilingual skills may be required to receive additional compensation.
