Real Estate Services Department is recruiting for a
Real Estate Services Manager to lead and oversee the Leasing Division who will supervise a team of highly trained real property agents who manage complex real estate transactions on behalf of the County and its departments. While the department seeks individuals with overarching field experience, this position will primarily lead and manage the leasing team of Real Property Agents engaged in leasing and property management matters.
This position reports to the Assistant Director of Real Estate Services and is responsible for managing the County's leased real estate holdings in accordance with State statutes and County Policy.
Duties include but are not limited to: - Leading the leasing group in providing outstanding customer service to the public, elected officials, and internal departments; evaluating and training staff as necessary on negotiations, contract development, and a variety of real estate transactions.
- Negotiating revenue and expense lease transactions and is also responsible for lease RFPs issued to the public.
- Developing and maintaining professional business relationships with private sector commercial real estate stakeholders, including developers, brokers, and investors.
- Recommending policies and procedures reflective of the County's real estate transactional needs; coordinating and preparing all real estate documents.
- Overseeing board agenda item preparation and technical review for each leased real estate transaction managed by the leasing group.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Pre-Employment Process: Applicants must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history & education check, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening.
Transportation: Travel throughout the County may be required.Eligible candidates must possess and maintain a valid California Class C driver's license. Employees in this class may be required to use a personal vehicle for transportation and show proof of automobile liability insurance. Mileage reimbursement is available.

Minimum Requirements Experience: Five (5) years of full-time equivalent years of experience, or a combination of experience, completing transactions involving the leasing of real property. Must include three (3) years of supervision in a commercial real estate operation and/or three (3) years in commercial property management supervision, in a regional role, with the oversite of at least 3 million square feet of real estate.
-AND-Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Real Estate, Business/Public Administration, or a closely related field.
Substitution : Additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education on the basis of one (1) year for every thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter units of required coursework.
