This position will be located at the Northeast Regional Office, 1709 Prospect Drive, in Macon. The hours of work will mostly be 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Duration of Assignment: May - August, 2025
- Conduct inspections at Scrap Tire Collection Centers and make observations related to proper management and disposal/recycling
- Conduct Compliance and Assistance Visits for the regulated community and general public, to assist with achieving and maintaining compliance with environmental regulations
- Investigate concerns related to the improper management and disposal of scrap tires
- Follow up on the removal of Scrap Tires and Solid Waste to confirm compliance issues have been corrected
- Create written documentation as appropriate within established department policies, guidance, and timeframes documenting observations made during inspections, investigations, assistance visits and follow ups
