    This position will be located at Roaring River State Park , 12716 Farm Road 2239, Cassville, MO. On-site housing is not available at this location. This position typically works Thursday through Monday, 7am - 1:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Shifts may vary with the time of year and in order to meet the needs of the facility. This position will require weekends, and occasionally working evenings, holidays, and special events as necessary. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays, weekends, and evening shifts.

    Our seasonal maintenance team members serve a critical role in helping to maintain our facilities to the highest of standards.

    This is a temporary, seasonal position, not to exceed 1,000 hours total during the length of the employment.

    Duration of Assignment: March 16 through October 31

    • Provide the highest quality customer service to our park visitors.

    • Clean/sanitize restrooms throughout the park.

    • Clean and sanitize shower houses in the campgrounds.

    • Clean and sanitize the Fish Cleaning Station.

    • Empty trash containers in the park day use areas.

    • Perform routine grounds and building maintenance.

    • Assist with park special events and other duties as assigned.

    • Maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle and small equipment safely.

    To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:

    • Interpersonal Skills: Treats others with courtesy, sensitivity, and respect. Considers and responds appropriately to the needs and feelings of different people in different situations.

    • Listening: Receives, attends to, interprets, and responds to verbal messages and other cues such as body language in ways that are appropriate to listeners and situations.

    • Self-Management: Sets well-defined and realistic personal goals; displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner; works with minimal supervision; is motivated to achieve; demonstrates responsible behavior.

    • Physical Strength and Agility : Ability to bend, lift, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time; ability to perform moderately heavy laboring work.

    Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

    • Ability to gain hands on knowledge of park management.
