Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk is recruiting for
Appraisal Technicians to assist State Board of Equalization certified appraisers with tax assessment appraisals of real property (land and buildings) or business/personal property (business equipment and fixtures). Duties include verifying and processing information submitted by property owners; measuring structures; making scale drawings; providing information on valuations; and gathering property value data.
Promotional opportunities: Experience in this position may be qualifying for entry into the professional Appraiser series.

Minimum Requirements CANDIDATES MUST MEET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING OPTION REQUIREMENTS: OPTION 1 Fifteen (15) semester (23 quarter) units of completed college coursework in accounting, business administration, statistics, real estate or other closely related field.
Transcripts must be included with the application if you do not possess a completed degree. OPTION 2 One (1) year of full-time equivalent clerical or technical experience in a
County Assessor's Office performing duties involved in the production of the assessment roll or performing support functions.
OPTION 3 One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience as a bookkeeper, accountant, auditor, appraiser, building cost estimator, or a California real estate licensee engaged in buying, selling, or leasing real estate.
