Why you’ll love this position:This position serves as the Time Critical Diagnosis (TCD) Unit Manager and provides administrative oversight to the TCD Unit, tasked with overseeing regulatory compliance of Missouri hospitals applying to become designated as a Trauma Center, Stroke Center or ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) Center. Hospitals able to achieve these higher level designations through adherence to the stringent regulatory requirements have better patient outcomes and are better prepared to treat trauma and other disease processes more effectively and efficiently.
- Direct and manage all regulatory inspection processes for the Time Critical Diagnosis program, including the coordination of the inspection activity of program staff and contracted reviewers;
- Coordinate and lead the rule promulgation process for the Time Critical Diagnosis program;
- Review all inspection reports and summary letters prior to release to the hospital and amend as necessary to conform to a consistent application of regulatory requirements and to all statutory and regulatory timelines established for the Unit;
- Serve as the Program lead and Coordinator for the Time Critical Diagnosis Advisory Committee, working with Committee leadership to provide general support and regulatory expertise to the Committee;
- Work collaboratively with Department staff, Hospital staff and statewide industry stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of Missouri’s Time Critical Diagnosis program.
Minimum Qualifications: - Current RN License. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing with five (5) years of healthcare, preferably in a TCD program. Management/supervisory experience over a TCD Program. Working knowledge/experience in a healthcare regulatory field;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Must possess effective leadership skills that promote customer service; non-adversarial enforcement of regulations; and the professional development of staff within the TCD Unit;
- Demonstrate and utilize critical thinking skills and innovation by showing a great deal of initiative when interacting collaboratively with leadership, staff, industry, and stakeholder groups.
