MO HealthNet Division has an opening for a
Senior Accountant within the
Fiscal Operations and Reporting Unit located in
Cole County. Semi-monthly salary: $2,814.31
Job Location: This position is located at the
Howerton State Office Building; 615 Howerton Court, Jefferson City, MO.

This is a supervisor position that will oversee the Financial Operations and Reporting Unit (FORU), which is charged with processing checks for MHD participants and providers.
- Supervise four employees for the FORU Unit and serve as the subject matter expert for the Unit.
- Approve refunds, payouts, and special checks.
- Work alongside other units in MHD to process payments for providers.
- Keep Management and IT team advised about needed system changes.
- Respond to inquiries from DFAS, participants, providers, and MHD staff.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience and/or appropriate certification. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Preferred Qualifications:To be successful, the candidate must possess strong communication skills, leadership skills, and interpersonal skills. This individual should be a self-starter and detail-oriented. This individual should have experience working independently and in a team environment to achieve goals. They should be highly motivated, with a desire to learn and lead a successful team. Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma, as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs, is preferred.
