General Manager of Food Services* to oversee the operations and programs of the Food Services Department. . Reporting to the Nutrition Services Manager, this leadership role involves managing subordinate supervisors and overseeing the daily operations of the department and café, which serve patients, staff, and visitors. The General Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with sanitation and cleanliness standards, proper use of tools and equipment, and the development and maintenance of policies and procedures. Additionally, this position leads process improvement initiatives, implements quality management programs, and monitors performance improvement studies to drive operational excellence.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit,
456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

Certification: California ServSafe certification with Manager Training from an accredited agency.
Shift Information: Applicants may be required to work various shifts, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
Travel Requirement: Travel throughout the County may be required. A valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance is required at the time of appointment.

Minimum RequirementsExperience: Three (3) years of experience with the preparation of large quantity of food services for a hospital, detention center, school cafeteria or other healthcare or institutional setting with at least one (1) year serving as a supervisor or a lead.
-AND- Certificate: Incumbents must possess a valid San Bernardino County Food Handler's Certificate.
Desired QualificationsThe desired candidate will be a certified Chef through an accredited organization or possess a Certificate in Dietary Services Management or similar certification. This candidate will have at least 5 years of experience supervising the preparation of food services for a large institution that adheres to nutritional standards. Experience managing a represented workforce is also desired.
