Pay: $55,185.12
Examples of Work: - Collaborate with Administrator and department management on personnel planning, personnel matters, and human relations activities
- Make recommendations regarding personnel policies, procedures, and transactions
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and benefits, such as Americans with Disabilities, Family and Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, discrimination, and workers compensation
- Participate in employee development activities such as new employee orientations, supervisory trainings, and other human resources matters
- Investigate employee complaints
- Make recommendations to department managers regarding effective counseling and discipline
- Maintain organizational charts and position controls
- Supervise staff assigned to timekeeping, recruitment, and personnel/medical file functions
- Participate in the development of budget estimates for personal service
- Oversee the supervision, recruitment, retention, performance management, discipline, instruction, and feedback to the human resources staff.
Qualifications: Must demonstrate the following which may be obtained through five or more years of work experience as a human resources professional or through completion of a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, communications or closely related program and one or more years of professional experience in human resources or some combination thereof:
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources and personnel administration
- Knowledge of employment laws related to employee rights, protections, and benefits
- Knowledge of employee feedback, performance management, and investigations
- Knowledge of supervision of team members
