    Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is looking for experienced Critical Care RN Nurses and Critical Care RN Trainees who will be assigned to the Interventional Radiologyand/or Cardiac Cath Department. This position will work as an Interventional Radiology Nurse and will plan, evaluate, and implement patient care according to accepted standards of practice.

    ARMC's Critical Care Registered Nurse Trainee Level offers experienced RNs the opportunity to train in a new specialty and advance their careers! Incumbents will automatically advance to Journey Level upon completion of preceptorship/orientation and possession of specialty certifications required by unit.

    to $143,041 & Up to $111,612 for Trainee Level (Depending on Qualifications)

    ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
    Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Background : Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, drug test, verification of employment history and education.

    Availability: Twenty-four (24) hour responsibility, on-call and call-back may be required.

    On-call Schedule: Employees assigned to ARMC Critical On-call duty shall be required to (1) leave a telephone number where they can be reached or wear a communicating device; (2) return a call or text as soon as practicable but not to exceed five (5) minutes; and, (3) after being told to report to work, the employee shall arrive at his/her work station as practicable, but not to exceed thirty (30) minutes.


    Certifications: Additional certifications may be required depending on the needs of the department.

    Note: Specialty Care RN Critical Care Trainees must be promoted to journey level classification upon successful completion of the trainee period (e.g., preceptorship, orientation, and/or obtainment of required courses/certifications, as applicable). Refer to the MOU for additional information.

    Minimum Requirements

    Critical Care RN Trainee

    Experience: One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse.

    Licenses and Certifications:
    • Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.
    • Must possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


    Critical Care RN
    Experience: One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse.

    Licenses and Certifications:
    • Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.
    • Must possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


    Critical Care RNs (Journey Level) must also possess and maintain the following unit specific certifications/courses required to work in the Medical Imaging Department at time of application:

    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • Critical Care Course or Critical Care RN Certification


    Desired Qualifications

    Candidates possessing a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and one (1) year of experience in an ER, ICU, Cath Lab, or Interventional Radiology Unit are desired.
