    San Bernardino County Administrative Office is looking for Accounting or Finance interns . If you like crunching numbers and working on complex projects, come join our team and learn from a group of professionals who manage the budget for the County.

    Interns Will Learn And Assist With:

    • Reviewing detailed accounting, statistical and/or narrative financial statements or reports requiring analysis and interpretation.
    • Examining and analyzing fiscal documents to ensure adherence to established internal controls and verifying the accuracy of accounting and financial records, transactions, and the effectiveness of the record-keeping systems.
    • Preparing manual and computerized ledger entries, original entries, reconciliations, trial balances, and other fiscal record-keeping work.
    • Making complex or difficult adjusting entries affecting several subsystems of a departmental accounting and financial system.
    • Recommending the installation of new or revised accounting systems, procedures, and records.
    • Observing how to advise officials and departmental personnel on accounting and fiscal actions and procedures.

    Student intern positions are temporary positions and do not obtain status as a regular County employee.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Background: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation.
    Sponsorship: Please note San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future for regular county positions. Student Visas are accepted for internship opportunities only.

    Minimum Requirements

    Must have completed or enrolled in a bachelor's degree program or higher with at least 30 semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework in accounting, finance, or another related field. Half of the units MUST be upper division. A PDF copy of your Transcripts MUST be submitted with the application.
