We are recruiting to fill a Pretrial Services Management Analyst I position to perform entry level professional work of limited technical difficulty. Assists in conducting research and makes recommendations on court procedures to provide technical and administrative assistance to judicial staff to improve the administration and operation of the courts and disseminates information through a means of mass communication. Assistance may be provided onsite and or offsite to the OSCA office
- Provides technical and administrative assistance to judicial staff to improve the administration and operation of pretrial programs.
- Coordinates the development, analysis and implementation of policies and procedures.
- May lead an ongoing program or project. Leading programs or projects includes assigning tasks, monitoring progress and workflow, checking the product, scheduling work, and establishing work standards.
- Collects and analyzes data and determines necessity for work performed, applicability of work unit standards, workload, projections, deviations from standards and effectiveness of processes and procedures.
- Conducts workflow analysis to evaluate case processing procedures; identifies potential workflow problems and recommends changes in procedures to facilitate automation and improve the administration and operation of the local courts.
- Performs various court evaluation projects covering specific pretrial services areas.
- Conducts research and makes recommendations on court programs.
- Assist in the design and development of systems needs for appropriate court related activities.
- Prepares training materials and conducts local or regional seminars to familiarize local court personnel with new or changed laws, court rules and procedures.
- Prepares, distributes, and informs local court personnel of pending or passed legislation that affects the courts.
- Provides staff support to appropriate committees when necessary.
- Researches professional literature, and attends training to stay current on national trends, best practices, new methods, and procedures for the courts.
- Assist in the prepares forms for use with manual processes, automated templates, and statewide court automation software.
- Identifies business and product requirements for the automated case management system; develops functional specifications for product enhancements and reports to meet the needs of the courts; tests product delivery; and drafts procedures for new product deliveries.
- Develops ad hoc management reports using approved software.
- Assists the courts with case management systems data entry and software updates and changes.
- May provide level two or three user support, through the help desk system, on the process/procedures, functionality and use of automated case management system and report features.
- Assist courts with ensuring the accuracy and use of data when completing the PSA.
Minimum qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or court management.
Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.
Preferred qualifications: - Knowledge of the principles and practices of modern court management.
- Knowledge of the use of automated operations systems, such as Windows, word processing, and spreadsheets
- Ability to analyze problems and needs and make effective recommendations.
- Ability to travel to the courts to provide onsite technical and administrative assistance to court personnel (some positions require extensive overnight travel).
