The Department of Health and Senior Services-Office of Human Resources is seeking an energetic, hardworking Human Resources Specialist to be part of a HR team that strives to deliver great HR Customer Service.- Review employee personnel actions in the SAM II HR payroll system for accuracy and approval
- Run and analyze SAM II HR reports
- Reconciliation of timekeeping system before payroll runs twice a month
- Monitor timekeeping activities and update as needed
- Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- May include supervision of a team of Human Resource Assistants
- Main point of contact for employees and managers with payroll questions
- Perform other related work as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience (Substitutions may be allowed)
- Knowledge of federal and state laws, rules and regulations, and policies and procedures as applied to human resources areas and programs
- Experience with the SAM II HR System, MOBIUS and Access is preferred
- Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy
- Attention to detail and thoroughness
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance
