    The Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector's (ATC) office has a current vacancy for Investment Analyst Trainee who will receive training in the support of the County's Portfolio and Cash Management Program. Investment Analyst Trainees compile and analyze financial data and prepare reports on companies for periodic review of financial performance, assess credit condition of companies and provide recommendations to investment management staff, and monitor and analyze market and economic data.

    COMPETITIVE SALARY & BENEFITS

    3% Annual Across the Board Salary Increase on February 2025**

    Bi-annual step increases of 2.5% up to Step 16

    As an alternative to the traditional benefits package, you may also be eligible to elect the Modified Benefit Option (MBO) that provides an increased base rate of pay (4% above the base rate of pay) with modified benefits.     CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Promotion: Investment Analyst Trainees are eligible for promotion to Investment Analyst ($84,156 - $120,307 annually) upon meeting the minimum qualifications for that class and receiving a satisfactory work performance evaluation. Incumbents must qualify for promotion within 12 months or be terminated.

    Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.

    **Salary increases contingent upon Property Related Revenue and/or statewide Proposition 172 Sales Tax Collections performance.

    Minimum Requirements

    REQUIRED:
    EDUCATION

    Must possess a completed/awarded Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or closely related field.
    **No experience required.**

    Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.     Desired Qualifications

    Bachelor's or Master's Degree in finance, progressively responsible finance experience, and a Chartered Financial Analyst candidate are highly desirable.
