    Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.

    The goal of the Food and Nutrition Services Section is to provide safe food and technical assistance to ensure well balanced nutritious meals are served to the students of Missouri.

    • Professional work in the implementation of the Child Nutrition Programs and initiatives related to special provisions including Provision 2, Provision 3, and Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).
    • Management of data for special Provisions.
    • Analyze school-level eligibility data submitted from LEAs implementing a special provision.
    • Annually notify and publish list of CEP eligible and near-eligible LEAs and schools on State agency website and manage timely communication to LEAs.
    • Access State reporting systems to review and monitor documents uploaded by LEAs for CEP document validation.
    • Conduct base-year documentation reviews for schools operating Provision 2 or 3.
    • Notify LEAs in each stage of Provision 2 and Provision 3 of updates and provide guidance as needed.
    • Provide technical assistance to LEAs interested in electing CEP or a special Provision.
    • Develop and provide supplemental resources for special Provision promotion, planning and implementation.
    • Work with School Finance Section of the Department to carry out audit functions required by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
    • Maintain a systematic procedure for receiving and reviewing school food service audits from non-public LEAs and collaborate with Nutrition Program Specialist to ensure findings are corrected.
    • Manage data tracking and waivers for mandated Breakfast Program participation.
    • Assist with conference and/or workshop support to include registration, creation, printing and dissemination of materials.
    • Assist in notifying and providing education to schools that are eligible to operate programs based on free or reduced percentages and area eligibility. Programs include: Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, After School Snack Program and increased Breakfast Program participation.
    • Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Food Science, Dietetics, or closely related field.


    OR

    • Four years’ experience in accounting, business administration, elementary/secondary education, government, policy, food service program management, food and nutrition science, data management, or closely related experience, and possession of a high school diploma or equivalency.
