Benefit Program Senior Specialists (System Maintenance Analysts) within the
Information Services Business Systems Unit located in
Cole County.Semi-monthly salary: $2,020.69
Job Location: This position is located at the
Howerton State Office Building; 615 Howerton Court, Jefferson City, MO.

This is a responsible and independent position that will be responsible for researching system issues needed for ongoing maintenance and operations of the Medicaid Management Information Services (MMIS) system related functions.
- Serve as a System Maintenance Analyst.
- Initiate research, coordinate, monitor and track system issues related to ongoing maintenance and operations of MMIS related functions through problem ticket submission processes with the system vendors. Work with vendors and state agency staff to ensure issues are resolved and system changes are fully tested and implemented correctly in the system.
- Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of the MO HealthNet Program, specifically related to assigned program areas.
- Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of how key areas of MMIS work regarding claims processing, system edits and parms, reference files, procedure code billing criteria, rules, etc.
- Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of all contracts managed by the Information Services Business Systems Unit and ensure vendors are adhering to contractual requirements.
- Work independently meeting with management to discuss direction of change requests and/or receive general administrative direction.
- Learn and adhere to agency administrative policies and procedures.
- Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of available resources for research.
- Effectively communicate system related issues and resolution with division and vendor staff.
- Attend and actively participate in required meetings.
- Assist supervisor and with special projects as assigned.
- Develop and maintain unit process manuals.
- Work independently meeting with management to discuss direction of projects; and/or receives general administrative direction.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
Preferred Qualifications: - Working knowledge of the agency’s functions and their interrelationships.
- Expert written and oral communication skills.
- Expert ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders from all levels within multiple public and private organizations.
- Ability to effectively identify, document, communicate, monitor, and resolve system issues.
