    Minimum Qualifications

    No minimum qualifications per Civil Service.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • A highschool diploma or high school equivalency diploma
    • Two years of experience in administrative support, which includes use of office software (eg., email, word processing), customer service, business writing, and office management.

    If verifiable, we will accept and prorate appropriate part-time and volunteer experience

    Duties Description

    The Park and Recreation Aide 7 will act as an administrative support to the Scaler Coordinator in the Niagara Regional Office. Duties include:

    • Assist Ropes Access Team with onboarding/hiring packets, seasonal appointment letters, employee injury reports, and employee timesheet approval.
    • Maintain records for fleet management, training, PPE, first aid kist, equipment inventory, as well as uniform inventory and distribution.
    • Take meeting minutes
    • Act as a proxy for travel and expense report entry.
    • Purchase equipment for the ropes access team as necessary.
    • Provide tailgate safety trainings.
    • Coordinate with Student Conservation Association interns.
    • Supervise as necessary.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Additional Comments

    OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
    • Candidates will have and maintain First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification as term and condition of employment.
    • Candidates will have and maintain FAA Certified Remote Pilot - suAS certification as a term and condition of employment.
    • Candidates will have and maintain Sprat Level 1 certification as a term and condition of employment.
    • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
