Benefit Program Senior Specialist within the
Clinical Program and Policy Unit located in
Cole County.Semi-monthly salary: $2,020.69
Job Location: This position is located at the
Howerton State Office Building; 615 Howerton Court, Jefferson City, MO.

This is an independent and responsible position that will assist in oversight of the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT), Hearing Aid, Optical, and other MO HealthNet programs as assigned.
- Assist in development and interpreting policy/procedure guidelines, laws, rules/regulations to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist with oversight of assigned programs through monitoring of reports, claims, and inquiries.
- Research and resolve assigned legislative inquiries.
- Monitor participant and provider complaints to ensure resolution.
- Update provider manuals when policy is implemented, changed, or requires clarification.
- Process public entity invoices and performance measures/withholdings for NEMT Program
- Attend state fair hearings.
- Review and process consultant invoices.
- Review and process claims for overrides and manual pricing.
- Review and process prior authorizations and requests for change.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas, plans, procedures, and programs.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant experience with policy and interpretation.
