Job Location: This position will be located at 930 Wildwood Drive, Jefferson City, MO
Why you’ll love this position: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in data collection, data management, statistics, research methods, and/or health information analysis and presentation. This position will be in the Office of Epidemiology and will be an integral part of the data analysis and reporting team by providing support for communicable disease and zoonotic/vector borne disease data.
What you’ll do: - Provide quantitative and analytical support for the communicable diseases team including sexually transmitted diseases, zoonotic and vector borne diseases.
- Develop materials that promote the dissemination of data initiatives for a variety of communicable disease programs including reports, infographics, dashboards, fact sheets and data briefs.
- Participation in strategic and operational planning processes, attend CDC trainings, multi-state calls, site visits and conferences.
- Conduct applied public health research to help inform policy and program decisions.
All you need for success: Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree
- 2-4 years of relevant experience (Substitutions may be allowed)
- Proficiency with SAS or similar statistical software packages is desired as well as familiarity with PC desktop resources and Microsoft Office Professional software
- The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, high levels of commitment, ability to work in a team, meet stringent deadlines, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact with a diverse group of audiences.
