    The Department (ITD) is seeking highly experienced and motivated Software Developers II who will work both independently and as part of a team to collaborate during all phases of the application life-cycle to ensure timely delivery and/or resolution of system problems. They are responsible for designing, developing and executing project plans, creating technical specifications, developing test cases, adopting agile methodologies, providing recommendations for improvement, creating documentation which includes Architectural diagrams, and assessing new technologies before adoption and implementation.

    **Salary increases contingent upon Property Related Revenue and/or statewide Realignment Sales Tax Collections performance.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Pre-Employment Process: Applicants must successfully pass a background check and a job-related physical exam, including a drug test, prior to employment.

    Availability: Incumbents may occasionally work evening and weekend hours. Some overtime, on-call, or call back work may be required.

    Minimum Requirements

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of work experience in a production environment, within the past five (5) years, performing analysis and programming for the purpose of developing business applications, including at least 6 months experience as a project leader for small to medium scale projects.

    Applicant must have hands-on experience with the following:
    • .Net/.Net Core
    • C#/ASP.net
    • SQL Server
    • Full-stack web development (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript)
    • DevOps; Scrum/Agile Development Methodologies
    • GitHub

    REQUIRED EDUCATION: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) of completed units from an accredited college/university in programming, computer science, or software engineering. A list of coursework must be submitted with the application.

    SUBSTITUTIONS:

    Experience Substitution: A completed Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in programming, computer science, or software engineering may substitute for one (1) year of the non-lead experience required.

    Education Substitution: One (1) additional year of qualifying work experience may substitute for the education requirement.

    Desired Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will possess the following:
    • Strong understanding of all aspects of software development; Windows, Web, database, and reporting skills.
    • Experience with .Net Web services, HTML5, CSS3, XML, AJAX, REST, and JSON.
    • Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
    • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
    • Ability to handle changes in business requirements and set priorities across multiple projects.
    • Good communication skills, ability to manage project tasks independently and communicate with clients.
    • Ability to formulate advanced SQL Queries.
    • Knowledge of low code/no code platforms incorporating front-end, back-end, and reporting components such as Power Apps, Power Automate & Power BI.
