DOR’s Vision: To provide every customer the best experience every time. HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION: This position will primarily process county fee payments and reports. In addition, the Excise Tax section processes motor fuel, tobacco and financial institutions taxes and returns, as well as payments for insurance. The section actively cross educates employees in the various other functions of the section. Candidates of interest will possess a background in customer service and will have a proven attention to detail. Your work not only assists Missouri taxpayers with compliance but it can directly impact the distribution of tax funds to MODOT and local city/county governments/taxpayers as well.
DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION: This description may not include all of the duties, knowledge, skills, or abilities associated with this title.
- Open, sort, and pre-edit incoming County Fee mail
- Deposit County Fee payments into multiple state and non-state funds and input into SAGE Accounting
- Process County Fee reports
- Process Missouri riverboat ACH wire transfers
- Process excess traffic violation and municipal court certification documentation
- Address telephone and e-mail inquiries from Missouri counties and cities regarding County Fees
- Assist in the preparation of two monthly distributions and two annual distributions of County Fee funds
- Participate in cross education of all job functions in the Excise Tax section
