DescriptionCharleston County Consolidated Emergency Communications Center (ECC) is looking for a Professional Development Supervisor to supervise the department’s Training Coordinators in developing and implementing training programs and oversees the coordination of the Student Leadership and Intern Program. This position is an exempt position.

HIRING SALARY: $60,153 - $78,769 (Estimated Annual Salary)OPEN UNTIL FILLED - APPLICATION REVIEW BEGINS IMMEDIATELYDuties and Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Supervise and develop operational training programs for the department to ensure the staff has the necessary skills and techniques to improve performance. Oversee the Student Leadership and Intern Program. Create adaptive strategies and assess results to improve the program. Research, purchase, and manage educational supplies including inventory and working with supply vendors. Obtain pricing for printing and educational supplies.Coordinate with other departments and divisions regarding processes, procedures, and equipment that impact training. Responsible for providing proofs for accreditation standards related to training.Provide support as needed to the Consolidated Emergency Communications Center Incident Commander during emergency incidents. Performs other duties or assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.

Minimum QualificationsMust have a positive attitude, proven leadership experience, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate well to a diverse group of people. Must be at least 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred but not required. 5 years of experience working in a 911 center with 2-3 years as a Certified Training Officer. 2 years of experience as a Training Coordinator or Supervisor in a 911 Center or working in education or training. Experience creating programs and lesson plans preferred. IAED EMD, EFD, EPD, ETC Certified Certified Training Officer or equivalent Must maintain a current NCIC certification or obtain NCIC certification within 6 months of employment. Instructor certifications in NCIC, CTO, and IAED preferred. Must have no felony convictions; misdemeanors will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and disposition information must be provided. Pass a background investigation including driving record, employment history, education, training verification, illegal conduct (drug use, etc.), and a reference check. Pass a pre-employment physical and psychological evaluation. NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800 or obtain within 6 months of the date of hire.
