The Job

The Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector's office is recruiting for SAP Technical Analysts Trainee who work in a training capacity while learning systems programming and configuration for the installation, operation, maintenance, and support for the County-wide enterprise SAP system for the Auditor/Controller/Treasurer Tax Collector’s SAP Division. SAP Technical Analysts Trainee assist with medium to high-risk projects, which include multiple departments and have a significant financial or operational impact on key business processes.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

1) Promotion: SAP Functional Analyst Trainees are eligible for promotion to SAP Technical Analyst I ( $88,441.60-$121,721.60 annually - depending on selected benefit option) upon successful completion of a training program and receipt of a satisfactory work performance evaluation. Incumbents must promote within 12 months or be terminated.

2) Applicant must successfully pass a background check prior to appointment.

3) Travel throughout the County may be required. A valid California Class C driver license is required at time of appointment; employees in this class may be required to use personal vehicles and show proof of automobile liability insurance.

Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.

* Salary increases contingent upon Property Related Revenue and/or statewide Realignment Sales Tax Collections performance.

Minimum Requirements

REQUIRED (Applicants must meet one of the following options) :
OPTION 1
Must possess a completed/awarded bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or closely related field.

OPTION 2
Experience: Must possess one (1) year of experience (within the last 5 years) in an IT environment in any of the following fields: business systems analysis, systems administration, systems engineering, software engineering, database administration, operating systems, network administration, information technology project management or a similar field in an enterprise environment.

Education: Must possess t hirty (30) semester (45 quarter) college units in information technology, business administration, or closely related field. (Transcripts MUST be attached if you do not possess a completed/awarded Associate degree (or higher) in related field.)

EDUCATION
Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • SAP experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot all aspects of an enterprise environment including complex and interrelated systems, databases, and WAN.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
