This position will be located at 1730 East Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101.

  • Serve as primary contact and expert in the program regarding Scrap Tire Permitting/Processors/Haulers.
  • Aid the general public regarding recycling of scrap tires, exemptions available, beneficial use applications, proper disposal of scrap tires as stated in the Missouri Solid Waste Management Law.
  • Attend Seminars and conferences occasionally throughout the year.
  • Assist with, hazardous waste transport permitting, and enforcement case management.

  • Knowledge of the value of collected information and the methods of sharing that information throughout an organization.


Equivalent to those typically gained by:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 0-4 years of relevant experience; Preferred degree programs include any of the following: Environmental Science or Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Science, Geology,


Forestry, Soil Science, Ecology, Wildlife Management, Agriculture, Animal Science, Natural Resource

Management, Soil Conservation, or a closely related field. (Additional education or experience may substitute for the required education or experience)
