Performance Education & Resource Centers (PERC) is recruiting for a Business Systems Analyst II (BSA II) . BSA IIs evaluate existing business processes/systems/workflows and develop business applications to enhance delivery of departmental services. Assignments include studies in workflow and technology integration; projects requiring research, analysis, and solution development; interacting with all levels of technical, administrative, and professional staff as well as le ading a team and assigning project tasks to team members.

PERC leverages its Learning Management System (LMS) to advertise training opportunities, record training engagements, and understand learning achievements and gaps using analytical data and reporting. The BSA II position will support PERC's Learning Management System, leading the team of dedicated Specialists who administer and troubleshoot the system. Additionally, the BSA II is responsible for administering and maintaining the department’s project management system, consulting leadership on best practices for project management.

Flexible schedules may be offered contingent upon satisfactory work performance and as business needs dictate. 9/80 schedules are a privilege, and availability may vary depending on work assignment.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-Employment Process: Prior to appointment, applicants must successfully pass a background check, including fingerprinting, verification of employment history, and physical exam/drug test.

Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required. Employees will be required to make provision for transportation. A valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced and maintained for the individual providing the transportation.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following requirement options to qualify:

OPTION 1:

IT EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience performing IT business systems analysis or information systems analysis, including four (4) of the following areas: requirements gathering, end user acceptance testing, process mapping, workflow diagramming, documenting business rules, feasibility studies, and cost/benefit analysis.

-AND-

EDUCATION: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a closely related field. Transcripts MUST be attached to your application unless you have a completed associate's degree in a qualifying field listed above. If your specific field of study is not listed and you do not attach a transcript, or if you fail to indicate your field of study, your application may be disqualified.

NOTE: Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.

OPTION 2:

IT EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of full-time equivalent experience performing IT business systems analysis or information systems analysis, including four (4) of the following areas: requirements gathering, end user acceptance testing, process mapping, workflow diagramming, documenting business rules, feasibility studies, and cost/benefit analysis.

OPTION 3:

IT EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience performing IT business systems analysis or information systems analysis, including four (4) of the following areas: requirements gathering, end user acceptance testing, process mapping, workflow diagramming, documenting business rules, feasibility studies, and cost/benefit analysis.

TRAINING EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience planning, coordinating, assessing, and delivering training programs in a professional workforce and/or utilizing eLearning development systems to create trainings for an adult-learning audience.

-AND-

EDUCATION: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a closely related field. Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience solving technical issues, interacting with end users and program developers, and acting in a lead capacity for other technical staff, in addition to providing infrastructure support.
