Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC)
is recruiting for Clinical Therapists to support the hospital's Behavioral Health Unit. Incumbents in this classification perform a full range of assignments related to the field of mental health services that include, but are not limited to biopsychosocial assessments, multidisciplinary treatment team participation, and discharge planning. ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-Employment Process: Candidates selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, physical, and verification of employment history and education.

Shift Availability: Candidates selected for these positions must be available to work ten (10) hour work days in a four (4) day work week. Shift start times range from 7:00am to 8:30am.

Certification: Candidates chosen for this position must obtain a valid Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification before their start date, and maintain this certification throughout their employment.

Vaccination Requirement: Per the December 24, 2021 updated CA State Public Health Officer Order, all workers who provide services or work in facilities described in subdivision (a) of the order, including clinics and doctor offices, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In addition, CDPH Public Health Officer Orders updated on February 22, 2022 requires all workers in health care settings currently eligible for boosters, who provide services or work in the impacted facilities must be “fully vaccinated and boosted” for COVID-19 by March 1, 2022. Minimum Requirements

Licensed Clinical Therapist Candidates must maintain and posses one of the following licenses:

Clinical Social Worker License : Must be licensed in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Indicate license number and expiration date on the Supplemental Questionnaire.
-OR-
Marriage and Family Therapist License : Must be licensed in the State of California as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Indicate license number and expiration date on the Supplemental Questionnaire.
-OR-
Professional Clinical Counselors License : Must be licensed in the State of California as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Indicate license number and expiration date o n the Supplemental Questionnaire.

Pre- Licensed Clinical Therapist
Candidates must meet both of the following Registration and Degree requirements:

REGISTRATION
Possession of an intern registration number. MUST be the first registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). Applicants who have not yet obtained an intern registration number must submit the following:
  • A letter from their graduate program indicating degree program and date of degree completion (or anticipated date). The school should verify that the program meets the educational requirement for MFT, MSW, or PCC licensure if the degree program is not titled MFT, MSW, or PCC. Commencement of employment will not occur until the degree has posted. A copy of transcript is required upon appointment.

DEGREE

Pre-Licensed Master's of Social Work: Must have received or be within three (3) months of receiving a Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited or in candidacy status with the Council on Social Work Education.

-OR-

Pre-Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist: Must have received or be within (3) three months of receiving a Master's degree in Marriage Family Therapy or a related Master's degree that meets the MFT licensure requirements of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).

-OR-

Pre-Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor: Must have received or be within three (3) months of receiving a master's degree that is at least 48 semester (60 quarter) units in a counseling or psychotherapy field of study or a doctoral degree that meets the PCC licensure requirements of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience working in behavioral health within a hospital setting or within an acute care facility.
