Job Description

Job Location: This position will be located at 930 Wildwood Drive, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109

Missouri WIC is seeking a motivated individual to support WIC program integrity and the development of administrative resources and forms. Missouri WIC must meet timeframes for investigating civil rights complaints and other types of fraud and participant violations and is looking for an individual to coordinate these duties. This position would also support keeping the bureau’s website updated with current forms and resources.

  • Investigate complaints and allegations of fraud against WIC participants, local agencies (LAs) and retailers.
  • Communicate with state agency district staff, LAs, Division of Administration and Office of Finance and Budget Services as needed when issuing a warning letter or sanction letter.
  • Manage the complaint and fraud database and update the program integrity spreadsheet to maintain current and accurate information.
  • Investigate dual participation of WIC participants in-state and in neighboring states.
  • Assist in the development and revision of WIC policies and procedures as they pertain to program integrity.
  • Assist with the creation and revision of administrative forms and resources.
  • Assist with maintaining the bureau's website.
  • Travel will be required with possible overnight stays.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • The applicant should possess proficiency in Microsoft programs, experience in the use of databases and excellent communication skills. Superior customer service skills are required.
  • Aptitude for learning new data systems and presenting technical information to non-technical staff.
