DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assists in providing professional analytical, administrative and/or management systems services to Assistant Director level and above. This role will primarily deal with fixed asset real estate accounting. Will provide direct support for the HPW Departmental Fixed Asset Coordinator (DFAC).
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Process land purchase and dedicated easements.
- Research and reconcile land satellite projects.
- Process land sale and record land revenue.
- Process exchange and retire sold land parcels.
- Process land refund requests and reverted parcels.
- Reconcile land revenue retirements and gain/loss.
- Allocate and submit audit selections for purchased assets.
- Performs other duties and special projects as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS This position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Six years of professional experience in finance, economics, budget analysis or a closely related field are required.
SUBSTITUTIONS : Experience
cannot be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement.
A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field may be substituted for two years of the above experience requirement.

PREFERENCESPreferences will be given to candidates with:Preference will be given to candidates with:
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or CPA candidate.
- Strong background and knowledge in financial statement preparation
- Asset management accounting,
- Experience working with governmental accounting practices
- Experience with the SAP financial system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to train/mentor less experienced professionals
