Performs skilled and first-line supervisory field work involving the installation of irrigation controllers, Performs back flows, pumps motors, irrigation maintenance and repair around City of Orlando buildings, facilities, and parks. Work performed requires thorough knowledge in the irrigation field and the ability to train employees, assign and direct work activities of several crews, resolve field troubleshooting problems, maintain records, and prepare reports through email. Work is performed under general supervision. Performance is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through conferences, inspections, and evaluation of completed work. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds (50 lbs).
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and four (4) years of experience in irrigation installation, troubleshooting irrigation systems, or maintenance repair of irrigation controllers, some of which must have been in a supervisory capacity
required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Journey Level Competency card or equivalent preferred, and may substitute for four (4) years of irrigation experience. Valid Florida Driver's License
required. Class B CDL preferred.

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
