What You'll Be DoingThe Adult Protective Services (APS) Supervisor oversees the coordination and delivery of protective services for disabled adults, supervising five full-time Social Workers and one temporary staff member. The Adult Protective Services Program receives and screens reports of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of disabled adults and provides necessary services. This role includes rotating after-hours supervisory coverage with the Manager and other Supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support staff, set goals, monitor workloads, and evaluate performance
- Ensure case quality through regular reviews and identify training needs
- Address client concerns and respond to program-related inquiries
- Maintain, interpret, and report accurate program data
- Collaborate with Co-Supervisor to ensure policy compliance and team cohesion
- Provide community outreach and serve as MDT (Multi-Disciplinary Team) Coordinator
- Lead regular team meetings and support after-hours coverage rotation

The Basics (Required Education and Experience) - Bachelor's degree
- Three years of job-related experience
- Valid Driver's License and "safe" driving record
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) - Three years' experience within a State or County Department of Social Services - Adult Services (Adult Protective Services or Adult Guardianship) or Child Welfare Programs
- Direct experience supervising staff and personnel management.
