Full-time position available with the Finance Department, Accounts Division, located at 414 E 12th St.
Salary Range: $5,794 - $8,833/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. *Telework schedule available 1 day per week after 6-month probationary period completed

Responsibilities
- Serves as Accounts Payable module lead for business requirements.
- Works with corresponding IT lead analyst to test and deploy accounts payable functionality in ERP system.
- Documents existing operational processes for use in requirement-setting for new ERP system implementation.
- Provides functional end user consultation for the existing Accounts Payable ERP module and new ERP once system is live.
- Provides support and assists in solving issues related to various ERP interfaces and assists City's technical analysts with identifying and implementing fixes for system issues.
- Supervises accounts payable staff and facilitates the voucher payment issuance process ensuring all established internal controls are adhered to and payments are issued accurately.
- Supports the fiscal-year-end close process.
- Performs annual tax information form reporting (Forms 1099) as required by federal and state regulations.
- Handles duties related to unclaimed property reporting and escheatment.
- Processes department requests to add/update supplier database information.
- Monitors for fraudulent payment/supplier activity actively and ensures adherence to internal controls and City policies when creating/modifying supplier information and when issuing payments to suppliers.
- Designs and develops ad-hoc data queries in ERP to assist with reporting financial information and to monitor successful integration with other ERP modules including HR Payroll, General Ledger, Asset Management, Purchasing, Project Costing, and others.
- Performs related duties and special projects as required.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Master's degree in public or business administration, urban or regional planning, economics, organizational/development psychology, project management/or geography and 3 (OR an accredited Bachelor's degree and 5) years of professional experience in corporate/municipal finance, research, accounting planning, project/program management, or geographical information systems analytics.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
