GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the application development manager, this position performs highly complex (senior-level) computer systems analysis work. Work involves performing manual and automated Quality Assurance aspects of projects. Works with other Architects, Team leads, QA staff and project managers to analyze the requirements and testing if the applications conforms to the standards and requirements as well as to verify that the changes do not break any existing funtionalities. May serve as QA Analyst or QA Lead in projects and help directing other QA staff, managing QA infrastructure and having a good 'big picture' understanding of performing manual and automated QA activities. Has a good understanding of SDLC, web and mobile applications, infrastructure, security, data and accessibility aspects. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations, and procedures.
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education :
Sixty semester hours from an accredited college or university.
Experience :
Seven years of full-time experience in performing Quality Assurance of enterprise applications in java and/or mobile applications.
Five years of programming experience in QA automation.
Three years of experience leading QA teams.
NOTE : Experience may have occurred concurrently.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education :
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with testing coursework.
Experience :
Experience testing large and complex enterprise applications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Knowledge of architectural concepts for achieving end-to-end performance, scalability, availability, reliability, integration, accessibility and security.
Knowledge of current technological trends in software development and hardware architectures.
