    The Position

    Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.

    The Governor's Finance Office, Budget Division, is recruiting for a Management Analyst 2 position located in Carson City. This position is assigned to the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) team and is required to work closely with state agency personnel utilizing ARPA funds. They will assist in the preparation, monitoring, and maintenance of ARPA budgets; track and project usage of funds to ensure all funds are spent within the required timeframes and comply with federal reporting requirements; research and resolve accounts payable transaction issues with state agencies and vendors; approve Purchasing Division invoices; create and process payment vouchers for approval; conduct quarterly post-award agency compliance reviews; prepare and compile reports; as well as assist with oversight and management of the Statewide Cost Allocation Plan and the Attorney General Cost Allocation Plan; and other duties as assigned.

    To Qualify:

    In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
    Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Special Requirements This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation. On October 31, 1864, President Lincoln proclaimed Nevada's admission to the Union as the 36th state. The State's first elected Governor, Henry Blasdel, took office on December 5, 1864.

    Today, Nevada is the nation's seventh largest state in land area. Several hundred mountain ranges cross its landscape, many with elevations over 10,000 feet. In contrast, the State's lowest point (along the Colorado River) is only 470 feet above sea level. From majestic mountains to desert valleys, nature has endowed Nevada with diverse and unique ecosystems.
