$20.66- $27.90 per hour with a hiring range of
$20.66 - $24.28, depending on qualifications and experience.

Essential Functions: - Conduct front-line operations for the City Clerk’s Office which includes: promptly and professionally greeting all walk-in customers; answering public and internal inquiries over the phone and in person by supplying information based on departmental procedures and detailed knowledge of department policy; screen and direct phone calls; direct visitors and follow front desk security measures as directed by management assist with minutes and note taking for meetings; handle incoming/outgoing deliveries; perform front desk opening and closing duties and other front desk duties as assigned.
- Process customer inquiries and direct inquires to the appropriate representative.
- Order and maintain adequate amount of office supplies for the department; stock materials in appropriate locations.
- Maintain various databases and spreadsheets by performing data entry and information verification.
- Prepare meeting materials including assembling large packets and binders
- File preparation for department for record retention.
- Assist staff by filing, copying, printing and/or scanning/indexing documents in digital filing system.
- Accept requests from co-workers for administrative assistance.
- Work is performed with an increasing level of discretion in working with citizen inquiries/concerns and policy questions.
- Maintain confidentiality as appropriate.
- Keep common areas stocked with supplies as well as picked up and clutter free.
- Attend and participate in department events, as needed.

Job Level and Management Expectations: Qualifications: Education: Experience: - 1 year experience in an administrative role with emphasis in customer service required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - General working knowledge of standard office procedures and methods with working experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to converse in a positive, friendly and professional manner with staff and the general public.
- Ability to professionally answer telephone inquiries, communicate clearly and effectively process call transfers.
- Must possess good knowledge of spelling, grammar, arithmetic, and business English.
- Must have ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize assignments.
- Typing at a speed that would enable a project to be completed in a timely manner.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions: - Frequent: Minimal physical effort typically found in clerical work. Primarily sedentary, may occasionally lift and carry light objects. Walking and/or standing as needed and minimal.
Working Environment: - Constant: Exposure to routine office noise and equipment
- Occasional: Exposure to hazards typically found in general office environments where there is rarely to no exposure to injury or accident.
