    Join Our Team as a Utilities Crew Leader!

    We are looking for a driven and experienced Utilities Crew Leader to lead and support our dedicated field crews in maintaining and repairing the city’s water distribution and sewer collection systems. If you have a passion for leadership, hands-on problem solving, and serving your community, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact!

    What You’ll Do:
    • Supervise, train, and evaluate utility crew members to ensure top-tier performance.
    • Prioritize and assign work orders; inspect work for quality and compliance.
    • Plan job sites and coordinate traffic control for safe operations.
    • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including confined space entry.
    • Address and resolve public inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
    • Maintain accurate records of time, materials, and equipment use.
    • Serve as a technical expert in water and sewer maintenance operations.

    What You Bring to the Team:
    • Thorough knowledge of water distribution and sewer collection systems.
    • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments.
    • Familiarity with safety regulations and equipment operation standards.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 1–3 years of relevant field experience, with leadership responsibilities.
    • Valid Texas Driver’s License (or ability to obtain).
    • Ability to obtain the following certifications:
      • TCEQ Collection II License (Wastewater Collections)
      • TCEQ Class C License (Water Distribution)

    Work Environment & Physical Demands:

    This position requires work both in the office and in the field—including all weather conditions. Physical duties include standing, bending, lifting, and operating equipment.
