    Position Description
    Performs specialized work in conducting original research. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on accomplishment of assigned objectives and overall effectiveness of project.

    Major/Essential Functions
    • Assist with rodent behavioral experiments (e.g., drug discrimination, locomotor activity, head-twitch response).
    • Perform basic in vitro pharmacology assays under supervision (e.g., receptor binding, signaling studies).
    • Prepare reagents, stock solutions, and dosing formulations.
    • Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and electronic records of experimental data.
    • Assist in animal care activities, including weighing, handling, and monitoring during experiments.
    • Clean and organize laboratory workspaces, equipment, and supplies.
    • Support data entry and preliminary analysis using software such as GraphPad Prism or Excel.
    • Attend weekly lab meetings and assist with general lab duties.
    • Comply with all institutional biosafety, chemical safety, and animal care protocols.



    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree particular field of science or engineering.
