OverviewLarimer County’s IT Department is seeking an experienced Organizational Change Manager to lead the people side of change and ensure successful IT project outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about change management and eager to make an impact in a collaborative, service-driven organization.
In this role, you’ll drive change strategies, guide employees through transitions, and collaborate with teams to ensure smooth adoption of IT initiatives. You’ll create training and communication plans, measure progress, and adjust strategies for success. Your efforts will help teams embrace change, reduce resistance, and set the stage for long-term success.
This hybrid position is based in Fort Collins and requires 2 - 3 days in-office each week. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Developing and executing change management strategies for IT projects
- Assessing impacts of change on employees and business processes
- Supporting the adoption of new tools, systems, and processes
- Facilitating training and coaching to boost awareness and engagement
- Managing resistance to change with targeted approaches
- Coaching leaders to guide their teams through transitions
- Creating communication plans aligned with project and stakeholder needs
- Organizing meetings to maintain alignment and collaboration
- Partnering with project managers and analysts to embed change strategies
- Ensuring initiatives align with organizational goals and reduce disruption
- Measuring adoption and adjusting strategy for continuous improvement

QualificationsTo move forward in the hiring process, candidates must meet the required minimum qualifications. - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education, from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required.
- Five (5) years of experience in Organization Development, Change Management, Talent Management, Learning Management, a directly related field, or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
- Prosci Certified Change Practitioner within one (1) year of hire required.
- Possession of Scrum Master Certification within one (1) year of hire required.
- Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) preferred.
- Project management training preferred.
