Summary:
Duluth Public Schools is seeking an individual to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technology support for district users. Review and process help desk tickets for installation and troubleshooting of district hardware, services and software. This includes support for desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, printers, interactive/non-interactive display systems, projectors, classroom audio systems and other district technology systems, services and software.
Minimum Qualifications:- Four year baccalaureate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or similar technical degree plus a minimum of one (1) year of work experience in the technical areas listed below: or a minimum of a two-year Associate in Science (A.S.) or Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or similar technical degree plus a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in the technical area listed below:
- Experience providing user support in a Google Workspace environment.
- Experience providing user support in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for supporting devices, users and groups.
- Experience using Google Admin Console for supporting devices, users and groups.
- Experience using an enterprise endpoint management solution like Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) or Microsoft Intune that is used to image PCs and install software
- Experience using and supporting users in an enterprise Help desk ticketing system like Freshdesk, Zoho Desk Zendesk or Solarwinds
- Experience using and supporting an enterprise Asset Management System
- Must have a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle or have the ability to travel between district sites in a timely manner.
- Four-year baccalaureate degree in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent education and work experience.
- Microsoft certification
- SCCM experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD)
- Smart Board experience
- Prior K-12 work experience
Medical/Prescription Drug Plan with Health Reimbursement Arrangement- Single Coverage - District pays 100% of premium (FREE) + contributes $2,612.50 into HRA annually
- Family Coverage - District pays 75% of premium (25% employee contribution) + contributes $5,225.00 into HRA annually
- Single Coverage - District pays 100% of Basic premium (FREE)
- Family Coverage - District pays 25% of Premium
- District provides minimum of $50,000 of life insurance at no cost, employee may purchase supplemental life insurance
- District-provided at no cost to employee
- Employees may elect to contribute on a pre-tax basis to Health Flexible Spending Accounts and Dependent Care Accounts
- The District contributes 7.5% of your total salary in the Public Employees Retirement Association) pension plan.
- Employees may also elect to participate in Tax-Shelter Annuity options.
- Each bargaining unit contract defines time off provisions such as holidays, sick/personal leave, vacation, etc.
