    Summary

    Develops, implements, markets, and evaluates the athletic, educational, social and leisure programs for City of Lancaster citizens of all ages.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develops and coordinates all aspects of recreation programs, athletics, aquatics, special events, and facility rentals.
    • Interprets recreation service to public and participates in community meetings and organizational planning.
    • Developing and administering divisional budgets.
    • Develop and design recreation center marketing including brochures, newsletters, informational bulletins, press releases, and various other marketing material.
    • Supervision of staff including training, workflow, conflict resolution, and review processes.
    • Serves as liaison to various community agencies and local schools.
    • Oversees the management and recruitment of all contract fee instructors, service providers, vendors, and volunteers.
    • Coordinates and develops summer after-school, day camp, athletic leagues, and community event programs.
    • Provides information and addresses concerns of citizens and patrons.
    • Participation in continual job training and education related to the position.


    Education and/or Experience

    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Valid Texas Class B (CDL) Driver's License with passenger endorsement preferred
    CPR/First Aid Training/Certification
    CPRP preferred
    CPO preferred
    AFO preferred
