    Job Summary


    The purpose of this position is to provide line-level support to the various divisions of the Police Department, including assisting at accident scenes, transporting property, assisting with non-emergency calls for service, and taking related offense and informational reports.


    Essential Job Functions

    • Respond to non-emergency calls for service, including graffiti, lost/found property, minor accidents, burglary, and city ordinance violations.
    • Transport abandoned property from the field to the designated Police facility. Complete related chain of custody records and reports.
    • Assist field personnel with traffic control and direction at accident scenes and special events.
    • Transport items and equipment, as needed, to improve efficiency of field-level operations throughout the department
    • Perform various vehicle inventory and repair functions, such as stocking vehicles with safety supplies and jump starting vehicles, to ensure they are ready for service.


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Education: High School Diploma/GED required. Specialized knowledge may be required for certain areas of potential assignment.
    • Experience: None.
    • Licenses: Valid Driver's License required.
    • Certifications Required: None.
