Job Summary/Objective:Performs high-level office management and administrative duties in support of the Director of Facilities & Environmental Services and staff, requiring thorough knowledge of departmental operations and functions. Independently performs specific tasks, such as drafting documents, preparing for meetings, serving as the point of contact for County staff and citizen inquiries, coordination with key contacts in other internal service departments, with considerable latitude for independent judgment. Responsible for organizing the administrative and clerical functions of department and/or assigned specific program or project responsibility.
This position will work up to 40 hours a week.
Essential Functions:- Financial and procurement tasks in E-Pro and other County systems for FP&C and Environmental Services Department
- Processing invoices, contracts, task orders, change orders, project initiation forms, developing SharePoint sites and assisting with VDOT reimbursable tasks
- Serves as Facilities and Environmental Services receptionist
- Works with Communications and Public Engagement to edit Facilities and Environmental Services website and internal SharePoint site
- Assists developing Facilities and Environmental Services CIP report and quarterly updates.
Competency: Knowledge/ Skills/Abilities: - Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of project accounting
- Knowledge of budgeting experience
Required Education and Experience:- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a two-year degree with 2 years’ experience.
Preferred Qualifications/Certifications:- Experience in business, public administration, construction, and/or project management.
Remote Work:This position is not eligible for remote work. All County staff must maintain residence within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Hiring Salary:The hiring range for this position is $21.41 - $23.67, which is approximately $44,542 - $49,230 annually. This is a temporary, FLSA Non-exempt position. Internal candidates will receive pay adjustments in accordance with Local Government Personnel Policy, §P-60.
