    The Position

    Maintenance Repair Workers perform semi-skilled work in the building and mechanical trades to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, facilities and equipment.

    The Nevada Division of State Parks is recruiting for a seasonal Maintenance Repair Worker 1 position. This recruitment will be used to underfill the Maintenance Repair Worker 2 position. Incumbents for this position must be able to perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical tasks to include maintenance on water and sewer systems. Working under the guidance of the Facility Supervisor 3, you will play a crucial role in the overall park operations and maintenance throughout the Tahoe Region. Incumbents may be required to work various hours and shifts including holidays and weekends. Applicants may also be required to demonstrate the ability to perform job-related tasks during the interview process.     In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
    Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) One year of experience performing general building, grounds, and equipment maintenance work; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Special Requirements Some positions are subject to call-back after work hours and call-out on weekends and holidays. These positions will be identified at the time of recruitment. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. In contrast, the State's lowest point (along the Colorado River) is only 470 feet above sea level.
