    Overview

    Are you an experienced mechanic? Fleet Services needs a hardworking Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team.

    Dive into an exciting opportunity where you'll specialize in repairing, inspecting, and maintaining a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment. From light to heavy-duty machinery, your expertise will ensure seamless operations. Join us for a fulfilling role where your skills make a significant impact!

    This is an excellent position for an experienced mechanic who enjoys working on a variety of fleets. In this role, you will be assigned repairs, inspections, and maintenance of light, medium, and/or heavy fleet vehicles and equipment.

    This brand-new shop facility is a great place to work!
    The typical schedule is 7:30 to 4:00 M - F

    Responsibilities

    What you'll be doing:
    • Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues.
    • Using a computerized work order system to track and complete tasks.
    • Inspecting heavy and light equipment in the field and shop to determine repair needs and performing field repairs when possible.
    • Conducting preventative maintenance services on all equipment.
    • Ensuring compliance with DOT standards and inspections.

    What we're looking for:
    • Proven experience diagnosing and repairing diesel and gas engines, brake systems, transmissions, differentials, and front and rear axle assemblies.
    • Skilled in repairing and installing hydraulic pumps and controls, as well as diagnosing electrical issues.
    • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
    • Proficiency in using computer equipment for diagnostics and repairs.
    • A team player with excellent communication skills.


    Qualifications

    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities or certification in auto or diesel technology from an accredited program.
    • Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.
    • Possession of, and ability to maintain, a Class "B" CDL required.
